Shadin Avionics has set the standard in the avionics industry for the design and manufacturing of a variety of instruments. We are at the forefront of innovation in every area we touch, and this has been our standard since we opened our doors in 1978.  With over 25 years of success, we are only beginning.

Shadin Avionics designs and manufactures a variety of digital fuel and altitude management systems, airdata computers, fuel flow data converters, engine trend monitors and custom instrumentation to DO160 and DO178 levels. We hold numerous TSOs, PMAs, and close to STCs for engine and airframe models (including single and twin engine turbine helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, general aviation, special/warbird models, as well as both corporate and transport type aircraft). An FAA-approved quality control system and qualified engineers ensure high quality, accurate instrumentation offered at affordable prices.  Developments include an STC’d and TSO’d digital to analog converter interfacing the ring laser and solid state attitude/heading system with autopilots flying on 747s and the Airbus.  More recent endeavors include the much anticipated RVSM Solutions.

Our instruments are supplied to such prestigious Original Equipment Manufacturers as:

Aerospatiale, Airtractor, Ayres, Beech, Bell, Bombardier, Cessna, Commander, Enstrom, Eurocopter, GKN Westland, Gulfstream, Lancair, Lockheed Martin, Maule, Mooney, RAM, Raytheon, Schweitzer, Sikorsky, and Socata.

Shadin Avionics’ altitude encoders are used with air traffic control transponder systems to enable mode C altitude reporting. Shadin Avionics’ ETM system for commuter and transport aircraft was designed to extend the engine hot section inspections and time between overhauls and to streamline fleet management.  This system is installed on the U.S. Army fleet of C-12 and reconnaissance RC-12 aircraft. Shadin Avionics Airdata Computers have become standard on DC-8 freighters and the Boeing 707, offering winds aloft and automatic baro correction displayed on the GPS. With over 70 separate converter designs which interfacing synchro, second harmonic, pulse width, RS232, RS422, RS485, and numerous ARINC (429 and 561) labels, it is clear why Shadin Avionics is the Converter Capital of the World.
